A new chapter for Manchester institution Salvi’s has arrived at Deansgate Mews, with the opening of AMÒ, a fresh and more spontaneous take on the family-run Italian brand.
AMÒ takes its name from the Neapolitan slang for ‘my love’ and is designed as a place to drop in without a booking, whether you’re stopping for a coffee, staying for a spritz or settling in for food with friends. The new restaurant also sees the next generation of the Salvi’s family step forward, with Sienna Cecco bringing her own ideas to the business.
At lunchtime, chef Valentina cooks fresh pasta each day, with a changing £10 lunch menu dependent on availability, alongside familiar Salvi’s favourites, Italian deli produce, gelato, affogato and proper Italian coffee.
There are also two spritzes for £10, alongside evening aperitivo and Sunday lunch. AMÒ is open seven days a week until late, with walk-ins only.
