Celebrate Pride with Great Northern at Proud Fest 2026

29 Aug

Proud Fest returns to Great Northern Warehouse on Saturday 29 August, bringing a free day of live entertainment, creative activities and family fun celebrating LGBTQ+ families and their allies.

Presented in partnership with Proud 2 b Parents, the inclusive festival runs from 12pm until 6pm, transforming Great Northern into a vibrant hub of music, play and community as Manchester Pride takes over the city.

Hosted by drag queen Aida H Dee alongside broadcaster and producer Sara Gosney-Hughes, the programme features live performances and headline Pride celebrations on the Main Stage, while the outdoor amphitheatre comes alive with interactive games, craft activities, workshops, community stalls and family entertainment throughout the afternoon.

Inside the venue, families can make use of dedicated picnic and chill-out spaces complete with inflatables, soft play and family rest areas, while the upper atrium hosts creative play sessions, arts and crafts, interactive activities and dedicated spaces for babies and toddlers.

Visitors can also enjoy one of the best vantage points for the Manchester Pride Parade, with the Proud 2 b Parents Viewing Area in the Community Hall overlooking Deansgate as the celebrations pass by.

Created in response to requests from the LGBTQ+ parenting community, Proud Fest offers a welcoming space where families can celebrate together while enjoying Manchester Pride in a relaxed, inclusive environment.
