For the first time since their formation in 2022, (M)other Art Collective, a group of like-minded North West-based creatives, present a family-friendly exhibition developed to ‘combat the exclusion of artist-parents’ and embrace modern family life at the Village Hall from Saturday 21st to Wednesday 25th January.
On Saturday 21st January from 2pm-4pm, (M)other’s first event features a family-oriented session during which attendees will discover the collective through a selection of sketchbooks, emerging ideas, artworks and previous projects that have been put to one side.
On Monday 23rd January from 11am-12pm, a body positive art workshop led by artist Lydia O’Hara – whose piece in the exhibition ‘YOU ARE NORMAL’ inspired the workshop itself – encourates parents and children to explore how creative expression can be used to feel proud of your body, with parents invited to model body confidence to children.
The exhibition and workshops are free to attend, with more information on opening times below.
