Proud Fest returns to Great Northern for 2026

Posted: 16th June 2026

Proud Fest, the annual festival created by Proud 2 b Parents, will return to Great Northern Warehouse this summer for another celebration of LGBTQ+ families, carers, children and allies.

Taking place on Saturday 29th August, the free family-friendly event will bring together families from across Manchester and beyond for an afternoon centred around community, creativity and connection.

Visitors can enjoy live performances, arts and crafts activities, family entertainment, play experiences and community stalls, while also having the opportunity to meet and connect with other LGBTQ+ families.

Established to create spaces where LGBTQ+ families feel seen, valued and celebrated, Proud Fest continues to champion visibility, inclusion and belonging through accessible community events.

Matt Taylor-Roberts, Founder and CEO of Proud 2 b Parents, said: “Proud Fest is about creating the spaces many of us wished existed when we first became parents. It’s a celebration of LGBTQ+ families in all their diversity and a reminder that every family deserves to feel seen, supported and celebrated.

Proud Fest 2026 takes place from 12pm until 6pm on Saturday 29th August at Great Northern Warehouse. Admission is free, with donation tickets also available.
